Two third of the international students prefer to do part time to keep up with their expenses.
Announcement from German Government:
- For all the international students pursuing till doctoral degree, the limited – term contract will be extended. It will be for the period for which there are restrictions imposed on the universities.
- Students who are already receiving student loan will be eligible to work during the pandemic to earn additional income. This will no way be deducted from the assistance provided by the BAfoG loan scheme.
- German Government has announced 100 million Euro as non-repayable grant .This will be distributed by the Deutsches Studentenwerk(DSW).
Federal Minister of Education and Research Anja Karliczek has also announced that all students would be able to receive interest-free loans of up to €650 a from Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau which is a state owned development bank.
