“Expect change. Analyze the landscape. Take the opportunities. Stop being the chess piece; become the player. It’s your move.” Tony Robbins.
As the saying goes life is filled with opportunities. It is up to us to see it as a ladder which can help us climb the stairs of success or leave it behind considering it as a cause of distress. Sometimes even saying a NO might open up a bigger opportunity. But whatever it is “Choose Wisely”.
Let’s give a sneak peek into the benefits of choosing studying abroad as an option for education. Studying abroad is a worldwide phenomenon. Students had always crossed countries in search of knowledge, career, culture and network. Just an idea of studying abroad will bombard us with many questions. Will all these questions fetch us an answer. Is there a single place to clear our doubts? Probably yes!
Some important facts to consider while choosing the option of studying abroad are as follows:
1.Quality of Education:
Most of us have gone through a typical conservative style of education, following the same pattern for generations. At some point we would always like to experience a world class education which had great options, quality and appreciation towards it. Most of the options we might choose would help us learn multi-disciplinary options along with getting adapted to new way of teaching.

2. Better Career options:
Most students prefer studying abroad as it might open up a great opportunity in terms of career. This is true with most of the students, unless they have a clear plan of coming back to continue their business or to stay close to their family. Studying in a foreign country can make us well-connected and as we hold an international degree, our profile visibility in the job market becomes higher. This makes us an International Citizen.

3.Diverse Networking:
Networking – the professors, staff, friends, roommates, people we get to know while we shop or have a coffee / food in a hotel. All of these make up our network. Yes, each of the above can be a lead for us in terms of understanding the culture, society, language etc. They are the people who can make us feel at home in a foreign land.
“65% of students who are in the good books of their professors land in a job using their referral”
4.To be Independent:
Yes! To be Independent is one of the excellent reasons for us to study abroad. Few of us were longing for this without understanding the opportunity in disguise. But on a positive note – This independence teaches us life skills and real survival skills. We miss our comfort to become self-reliant. By the time we graduate, we would have learnt how to multi task (study, house keep, work, cook). Sometimes we might find our real passion or interest when we are on our own.
“Education makes life self-reliant – Narendra Modi”
5.New Culture:
We belong to a country where we have diverse culture. Yet the roots of most of the customs and traditions remain the same. When we study abroad, we not only read through the books of subjects, but we also read through the culture of other international students around us. Is it knowing a single culture? NO! We would probably be understanding 5 different cultures, Is this not exciting? This would probably widen up the options of our career.(Again a blessing in disguise).
“Diversity: The art of thinking independently together “- Malcolm Forbes
6.Explore the world:
We become a global person, Yes -truly Global. Studying abroad never means only education. It includes adventure and exploration too. There are many options like exchange programmes where we study in 2 different countries during our course period. There are options where we can study in a country and choose to explore other countries with the same visa.
“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”
7.Learn life:
Few experiences can never be thought of, it has to be experienced. In a foreign land we would probably learn life in terms of priorities and importance from own experience. This fruit can be sour or sweet, but would surely shape us to be a better person. Even if we choose to come back we might not expect support from our kith and kin. After all we are a self-made person now.
